Jayapura (ANTARA) – Personnel from the Papua Police’s Traffic Directorate held an educational activity on health protocols for the use of masks to residents of Jayapura City by placing ‘Come on Wear Masks’ stickers on every vehicle.

Head of the PJR Ditlantas Polda Papua Police Commissioner Mathen Asmuruf in Jayapura City, Monday, said the locations that were the focus of the ‘Let’s Wear Masks’ sticker were in front of the Jayapura Mall, PTC Entrop and the Abepura Circle, Jayapura City.

“Today, 50 units of stickers were installed on two-wheeled, four-wheeled and six-wheeled vehicles,” he said.

In this educational activity, he said, the Papua Police Traffic Directorate deployed Traffic Police personnel to educate motorists through the installation of ‘Let’s Wear Masks’ stickers.

“The goal, of course, is the National Police’s effort to educate the public about the importance of implementing health protocols for the use of masks in every community activity,” he said.

He hopes that the implementation of education regarding the use of masks for the public, especially motorists, through the ‘Come on Masks’ striker, can have a positive impact in the form of awareness from the community itself towards preventing the spread of COVID-19 which is still endemic in Jayapura City.

“In addition to providing education on the use of masks, Polwan then Polda Papua personnel also appealed to motorists to order traffic, such as using helmets with Indonesian National Standards and administrative completeness for driving SIM and STNK,” he said.
