Intan Jaya – Intan Jaya’s Joint Fact-Finding Team (TGPF) has investigated a series of shootings that killed 2 members of the TNI, 1 civilian, and 1 priest. A total of 25 witnesses have been examined.

“There were 24 witnesses we met and 1 person only used the telephone, because of the situation, so there were 25 witnesses in total. For the results of disclosure we must first report to the leadership, it is illogical if the leadership does not know I have conveyed it to friends (journalists),” said Chairman of the Joint Fact-Finding Team Benny Josua Mamoto, Monday (12/10/2020).

Benny said his team did not go directly to the witnesses for security reasons. His party will continue to coordinate with local officials regarding the progress of the investigation.

“We have made various efforts according to our target. If there is a shortage, we will coordinate with the Danrem, Kapolda, Pangdam and Direskrim,” said Benny.

The statements of the witnesses will later be recommended to investigators. He asked the public to be patient and participate in the investigation process of this case.

It is known that the team led by Benny Mamoto consisted of 18 people consisting of elements from community leaders, religious leaders, traditional leaders, and academics. TGPF remains committed to resolving the shooting cases that occurred in Intan Jaya during September 2020, including the shooting of Pastor Yeremia Zanambani in Hitadipa, according to the target set.
