Jayapura (ANTARA) – The Papua Provincial Government (Pemprov) has spent more than IDR 2.37 trillion in APBD funds to build nine competition arenas to be used for the implementation of PON XX in 2021.
Acting Head (Plt) Head of the Papua Province Sports and Youth Office Alexander Kapisa in Jayapura, Saturday, said the funds for the construction of the nine competition arenas were purely from the Papua Province APBD for the 2017 to 2019 fiscal year.
“The cost of building the Lukas Enembe Stadium using the 2017-2019 budget for the 2017-2019 budget is IDR 1.392 trillion,” he said.
According to Alexander, the construction of the Kampung Harapan indoor shooting field and the Auri outdoor shooting field used the 2019 APBD of Rp. 115 billion, while the construction of the GOR STT GIDI used the 2019 APBD of Rp. 93 billion.
“Meanwhile, the construction of the Auri softball and baseball fields and the Uncen softball and baseball fields used the 2019 APBD funds worth Rp. 167 billion,” he said.
He explained that the construction of the Koya Koso Volleyball Sports Center spent a budget of IDR 357 billion, the Jayapura Mayor’s tennis court spent IDR 169 billion and the Mimika futsal sports center first stage was IDR 58 billion and the second stage IDR 18 billion.
“So the construction of the nine venues which was inaugurated by the Governor of Papua has been completed 100 percent,” he said again.
He added that apart from that, the government has also disbursed APBD funds to support the renovation process for the construction of the Papua PON competition arena.
