PAPUAInside.com, JAYAPURA – On the National Information Openness Day (HKIN) which is commemorated every 30 April, the Papua Provincial Information Commission on April 30, 2021, commemorates it by conducting an interactive dialogue at RRI Jayapura and TVRI Papua with the theme of Public Information Openness to Create a Peaceful Papua and Be fair.
According to the Deputy Chairman of the Papua Provincial Information Commission, Andriani Wally, through a Press Release said that at this year’s HKIN commemoration, it is hoped that it can strengthen the government’s commitment as a public body in realizing transparency and openness of accountability. So that in providing information services, it can be fast, precise and simple.
In addition, at the 2021 HKIN commemoration, said Andriani, the Papua Provincial Information Commission also hopes that the government as a public agency that provides information will be more committed to providing quality public information.
“The Papua Provincial Information Commission is determined to oversee more informative governance. “It also encourages the public to use their constitutional rights guaranteed by the 1945 Constitution Article 28 f and Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Openness of Public Information in obtaining quality information,” he explained.
Andriani also said that information disclosure is very important to build public trust in the government. This is because one of the public’s distrust of the government is the difficulty in obtaining information, and the information obtained is not complete or complete.
“Public bodies as information providers are required to manage information in accordance with the mandate of the Law on Public Information Disclosure, so that our people in Papua will find it easier to obtain information that is managed responsibly by public agencies,” explained Andriani.
Moreover, said Andriani, the management of information that is responsible and provided to the people in Papua at large will greatly assist the community in supporting the performance of the local government.
“For that, quality information will make development in all sectors in the fields of education, health and the economy run well. So that this will have an impact on the Papuan people who are more peaceful and prosperous, “he explained.
Because according to Andriani, if people get good and accurate quality information, then people in Papua will feel equal justice in all sectors of development. **
