Six districts in Papua are free from COVID-19

Jayapura (ANTARA) – Papua COVID-19 Task Force spokesperson, Dr. Silwanus Sumule said six districts in the Papua province were free of the corona virus or included in the green zone.

Speaking to ANTARA in Jayapura on Friday, Silwanus said the six districts included in the green zone were Boven Digoel, Supiori, Tolikara, Central Mamberamo, Waropen and Puncak Jaya Districts.

Previously, he said, the Papua COVID-19 Task Force noted that 17 patients were exposed to corona in Boven Digoel Regency but had been declared cured after undergoing treatment.

Then, seven positive CIVID-19 patients were registered in Supiori District but had undergone treatment and were declared cured. Then in Tolikara District, four people were exposed to COVID-19 and underwent treatment and all recovered.

Furthermore, Kabupaten Mamberamo Tengah (Mamteng) were two people who were positive for COVID-19 but after undergoing treatment they finally recovered.

Waropen Regency, he added, one person who was declared exposed to corona but had recovered after undergoing treatment and treatment. Puncak Jaya Regency, one patient of COVID-19 and has been declared cured.

Based on infographic data on the development of COVID-19 in Papua Province, the total number of corona patients recovered in all districts / cities in Papua was 1,397 people.

The patient died in Papua due to exposure to Covid-19 is 33 people. While the total COVID-19 patients who are still undergoing treatment in a number of health facilities are 1546 people.
