Jayapura (ANTARA) – Spokesperson for the Papua COVID-19 Task Force, Dr. Silwanus Sumule, said that six districts in the province are in the green zone or free from the corona virus.
Silwanus Sumule in Jayapura, Sunday, said that six regencies in the province are in the green zone / free from the spread of the corona, namely Bintang Mountains District, Sarmi Regency, Supiori, Central Mamberamo, Waropen and Puncak Jaya Regency.
The Papua COVID-19 Task Force recorded eight COVID-19 cases in Bintang Mountains District, but all recovered after undergoing treatment.
Then, seven cases of COVID-19 in Sarmi District but all of them were declared cured after undergoing treatment.
Seven positive patients with corona were recorded in Supiori Regency but after undergoing treatment, all were declared cured.
Then in Central Mamberamo Regency (Mamteng) three people who tested positive for COVID-19 but after undergoing treatment finally the three people recovered.
Waropen District, one person who was declared exposed to corona but has recovered after undergoing treatment and medication. Then, Puncak Jaya Regency, also one COVID-19 patient but has recovered after undergoing treatment.
He said that from March 17 to September 5, 3,259 or 82 percent of patients confirmed positive for COVID-19 were declared cured after undergoing treatment at a number of hospitals and other health facilities in the easternmost region.
He continued, 3,259 recovered patients were spread across 28 districts and one city in the province, namely COVID-19 patients who were declared cured in Jayapura City after undergoing treatment for 1,906 people from 2,221 cases. Mimika Regency, 676 patients recovered from 842 cases of corona.
There were 279 confirmed COVID-19 patients in Jayapura Regency who were declared cured after undergoing treatment out of 330 cases.
Biak Numfor Regency, corona patients recovered 100 people from 168 corona cases. COVID-19 patients recovered in Nabire Regency, 49 of the 87 cases.
In Keerom Regency, 62 COVID-19 patients were declared cured of 67 cases. Merauke Regency, 34 corona patients who were declared cured after undergoing treatment out of 64 cases. Jayawijaya Regency, a corona patient who was declared cured after undergoing treatment for 59 people out of 60 corona cases.
Lanny Jaya Regency, seven people who were declared cured of corona after undergoing treatment, out of 27 cases of corona. Patients confirmed positive for corona in Yapen Islands Regency who were declared cured by 23 of the 26 corona cases. In Tolikara Regency, 17 people were declared cured of COVID-19 out of 25 cases.
Then, in Boven Digoel Regency, 17 people were declared cured of corona after undergoing treatment and treatment, out of 20 cases. Yalimo Regency, three people were declared cured of COVID-19 from 15 cases of corona. Furthermore, one that has just been confirmed that its citizens have been exposed to the corona, namely Mappi Regency, two people have been confirmed to have contracted COVID-19. The two people are still undergoing treatment.
Based on infographic data on the development of COVID-19 in the easternmost province, the total number of patients recovering from corona in all districts / cities in this province was 3,259 people or 82 percent. Of that number, 674 people or 17 percent of them are still undergoing treatment at a number of hospitals and other health facilities in the region.
48 patients died in Papua due to exposure to corona, while those who had close contact with families who were exposed to corona were 1,691 people, 925 suspected cases, probable 28 people, who were still undergoing treatment in the hospital, still 45 people.
