JAYAPURA, iNews.id – The Tabi Customary Council Forum expressed support for the government’s plan to establish a new autonomous region (DOB) in Papua Province. The regional expansion in Papua is considered to have an impact on public services and welfare.

According to him, with the formation of new autonomous regions, all wheels of government will be carried out by leading the area according to their respective cultures and cultures, even services can reach all isolated places.
“Like us in the Tabi area, it remains a Papua Province which oversees two traditional territories, namely Tabi and Saireri. However, the most important thing is that our Papuan identity should not be lost or eroded because of the new autonomous region,” he said.
The chairman of the Sarmi District Tribal Customary Council (DAS) Lukas Worone said his party also supports the formation of new autonomous regions in Papua Province.
