JAYAPURAKOTA – Mayor of Jayapura, Dr. Benhur Tomi Mano, MM handed over assistance to 65 working groups, which participated in the program to expand job opportunities and reduce unemployment in the city of Jayapura.

The Urban Labor Intensive Work Program phase III of the 2020 Fiscal Year was held on Monday, November 9, 2020, at the location of the Hamadi beach.

The mayor said that this program has been carried out since the first 5 years of his leadership, the aim is to prepare job opportunities for unemployed people in the city of Jayapura so that they have income, as well as to reduce unemployment in the city of Jayapura.

“I hope that in doing their job, they have to be careful and not work,” said the Mayor.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Jayapura City Manpower Office, Djoni Naa, said that at this stage III, there were 65 groups of workers, each consisting of 10 people, bringing the total to 650 workers.

They were given 6 working days in 4 districts, namely, Heram district, Abepura district, South Jayapura district and North Jayapura district. With a budget of 781 million rupiah.

“Each working group is given a work wage of 7.5 million rupiah. The existence of this program is very helpful in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, “he said. (PR)
